Short-term mission trips provide an immersive opportunity for church leaders and their members to serve in communities around the world. These trips are designed to combine hands-on ministry work with cultural exchange, allowing participants to experience firsthand the needs of others and learn how to address them effectively. Participants engage in activities such as teaching, building projects, and community outreach, creating a direct and meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience and insight. These trips help churches deepen their understanding of global ministry while strengthening their own teams through shared purpose and collaboration. In March 2015, Jonathan and Shena invited a group from Glad Tidings Tabernacle Key West, Florida, to join them on a mission trip to La Florida, Dominican Republic. Those fortunate enough to accompany them saw the area firsthand, and Project Ruth was birthed. The property was donated by a resident, Ramon A. Ramirez, a property that had been in his family for many generations. Construction began in May 2015 on a church/community center and medical clinic, the initial construction was completed in August 2015. The ministry continues to add value to the community through a holistic approach in Jesus' Name. At the core of PR’s approach and principles is to form a partnership with government and Christian community leaders to:

Reset Getaways for National First Responders and their Spouses. On Reset Ridge in La Florida, San Juan, Dominican Republic we are constructing cottages for our Reset Getaways. Our goal is to launch our reset retreats late 2025. We will provide counsel for attending First Responders looking for a personal reset.

Undergird the Educational System. We currently provide:

1. Classroom Space for fifty public school students

2. Starlink Internet for our School and Community Students

3. Backpacks and School Supplies

4. Summer Youth Development Programs

Teach the Love of Jesus and Social Values. Through our Local Church Ministries and Short-Term Mission Trips. We teach by example. We also provide leadership development for Church and Community leaders.

Health Care Services. Our partnership with the Government provides the only healthcare services for 4,000 residents in La Florida. We invite medical mission teams to serve alongside us.

MISSION TRIP FORMS 

The Careys have been invited by the Assemblies of God in The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands to assist with crisis and disaster response, and leadership development throughout the fellowship. The Careys have received approval from World Missions for this assignment. Their mission is to have a 46 1 Response presence established in each District of the Assemblies of God in The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands by 2028.
